Naturally, we believe that you can’t lose with selecting the Go Play Golf gift card. However, I wanted to show you what my research showed for golf gift ideas so you can take a look at all the options that I could find.
Turning to a Google search under “Golf Gift Ideas” revealed an endless supply of golf ties, golf socks, and golf picture frames. Then there were the golf novelty gifts. I like these cute and often funny novelty gifts, as they are always good for a laugh, especially when opened at a group function. Here are some of my favorites: The golfer bobble head, golf balls with your golfer’s face on it, the bathroom version of a practice putting green, and my personal favorite, the coffee mug with the putting tunnel.
Such as golf clubs is something every golfer needs, but do they need to replace the ones they have? Even so, picking out golf clubs for someone is not recommended. There are so many to choose from and too personal to know what clubs to choose from. Most PGA teaching professionals recommend that golfers are professionally fitted for height, age, playing ability, and brand preference. If you happen to know that, be prepared to spend more than $2,000 for a set of name brand golf clubs.
Golf shirt, pants, and hats, don’t make for a very unique gift. This is what most golfers end up with as a gift. Also, most golfers have lots of golf clothing and golfers prefer to buy their souvenir hats in the golf course pro-shop at that special golf course they just played. I was fortunate enough to play Pebble Beach once, and the hat I purchased in the pro-shop is one of my most cherished possessions, and the other couple of hats with the brand name of golf club manufactures such as Callaway, or Titleist are fairly ordinary to get anyone excited.
Most individual golf courses sell gift certificates for golfers to use to pay for their golfing (green fees) at their particular golf course. This is a great idea if you happen to know that the golfer on your gift list plays only one golf course. Most golfers however play between 5 to 6 different courses in their area, and a variety of other ones if they find themselves traveling outside the area. Unless you know absolutely which course they play, it is not advisable to pick a golf course yourself. Many people think that buying a gift certificate at an expensive course in the area would be a nice treat, but it is often hard for them to find their fellow golfers to join them.
I hope that this has been helpful in giving you insight into golf gifts and golfers in general. Please fell free to reach out to me at any time. I am happy to answer any questions you may have.
Sincerely,
Founder
